The use of wire harness heat shrinkable tubing and inspection standards

Heat-shrinkable tube of wiring harness is a very common component, which is mainly used for dustproof and waterproof protection of grounding points, ring terminals and crimping points. 1. Heat shrinkage of the grounding point When the grounding point is shrunk, the heat shrinkage tube shall wrap all the copper wires. After the heat shrinkage, the copper wires visible at the end of the grounding terminal shall be completely covered by the heat shrinkage tube or sealant. The following standards shall be met after heat shrinkage: ① The copper wire shall not pierce the heat shrinkable tube. ② The heat-shrinkable tube shall be wrapped at least 1 cm away from the sheath. ③ The heat-shrinkable tube shall have uniform thermal shrinkage and be bonded with the wire and terminal. After thermal shrinkage, there shall be no visible gap between the adhesive surface, heat-shrinkable tube, terminal and wiring. The heat-shrinkable tube and wire skin shall not have the phenomenon that the thermal shrinkage is not in place. II. When the connection point is heat-shrinkable, in addition to checking the wiring status before heat-shrinking, it is necessary to ensure that there is no single wire with poor wiring, copper wire exposure, and sealant overflow at both ends of the heat-shrinkable tube after heat-shrinking. The following conditions shall be met after the completion of heat shrinkage: ① The copper wire shall not pierce the heat shrinkable tube. ② The heat-shrinkable tube shall be wrapped at least 1 cm away from the sheath. ③ The heat-shrinkable tube shall be uniformly heat-shrunk and bonded with the conductor and terminal. After heat-shrinking, there shall be no visible gap between the rubber surface, heat-shrinkable tube, terminal and wiring. The heat-shrinkable tube and wire skin shall not be coked or not heat-shrunk in place. ④ If unilateral connection is adopted, reserve at least 1 cm at the wireless end of the heat-shrinkable tube after wiring. ⑤ The wire diameter at both ends shall be reasonably arranged for thermal shrinkage, and the cross-sectional area of the wire diameter at both ends shall be 3 times smaller than that of the outer diameter of the end with more wires than that of the end with fewer wires. If the less wire side is 1 square wire, the maximum multi-wire surface is 3 square wire. If it exceeds this specification, it should be adjusted to ensure the heat shrinkage quality of the heat shrinkage tube.
