I-PEX's New Extremely Thin Coaxial Cable Connectors Protect Components from Noise Breaking Waves

February 19, 2019-I-PEX's new CABLINE-UM very thin coaxial connectors feature 360 ° EMI shielding to protect components from noise-breaking waves in high-speed transmission environments. The 90 ° outlet vertical plug style makes it easy to place anywhere on the PCB to increase your design options. The optional mechanical latch makes the male seat secure and does not easily come off the PCB board. In addition, the high speed terminal contacts are designed for data rates of 20 + Gbps for the latest high data rate standards such as Thunderbolt 3 (20 Gbps), eDP (HBR3 8.1 Gbps), USB 3.1 (10 Gbps). This connector has a 0.4mm pitch and an ultra-small size. The fitting height is 2.2 +/-0.15 mm with locking cap and 2.0 +/-0.15 mm without locking cap. Electromagnetic interference shielding features and multipoint grounding design make the connector compatible with the device's internal anti-noise layer group and meet high-speed transmission standards. These features eliminate masking tape and/or a separate mask for noise control. The CABLINE-UM connector is available in standard 30 pin and 40 pin options. The number of custom pins ranges from 0-60. We also offer the shielded version of the connector, CABLINE-CA II, which can be plugged and unplugged horizontally.
