Specializing in the sales of: Connectors | Wire Harness | Cable Products

The new 423 Series M16 product has been introduced in a new, small-sized version. Excellent performance in narrow spaces and harsh and severe application environments. Threaded locking, with shielding ring, meets the requirements of IP67 when inserting, and is suitable for typical industrial environments that are susceptible to interference. Binder, as one of the leading suppliers of industrial circular connectors, has launched the small-size version of the 423 series: the small-size M16 circular connector has a total length of about 47mm. Products with 2-19 core counts and IP67 requirements for interpolation will be available soon. Both soldered and crimped wiring will be available in small versions, with shielded plugs and sockets, and both have cable clamps. The wire gauge range is 0.14 mm2 (AWG26) to 1 mm2 (AWG18) based on the number of cores and the wiring method. Its rated voltage and current are 32V-250V and 3A-7A respectively. To ensure flexibility in actual use, the cable outlet diameter is 4.1 mm-7. 8mm.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------1. Developed for demanding test and measurement and automation technologies: The target applications of the 423 series small-size versions mainly include test and measurement applications, as well as automation technologies limited by installation conditions. Especially precision instruments, which must provide accurate measurement results in confined and noisy environments, benefit, on the one hand, from the particularly compact design of the connectors. On the other hand, the possibility of electromagnetic shielding is essential to prevent interference signals from adjacent electronic circuits from compromising the detection or transmission of the measurement device. The stated goal of Binder's product designers was to develop new M16 products using as many standard parts as possible. Despite the prescribed protection rating, in order to reach IP67, they still need to integrate additional lathe parts. "Through focused and developed, we have managed to establish the same quality in a smaller form factor." Product Manager Sascha Doebel commented on the success of the new development. 2. Background of M16: From traditional audio to 5G and industrial Internet of Things: Since its application in audio technology more than 50 years ago, M16 has been proven in a wide range of applications: flexible termination, assembly and installation; Primarily used to connect sensors and other field devices in indoor applications. When Binder produces connector systems, manufacturers have been developing the M16 series as an integral part of industrial automation. Due to the industry-wide need for reliable, stable, cost-effective connectivity solutions with low contact resistance at up to 24 pins, this development has led to the advent of industrial IoT products that can now handle data at gigabit rates and withstand the extreme conditions of outdoor use. 5G mobile communication is one of the innovative application fields of Binder M16 connectors: AISG (Antenna Interface Standards Group) compliant Binder 423 series products are used to connect devices in network operators' antenna lines (antenna line devices, ALDs). Binder is currently launching a smaller-sized version of the product range based on customer demand. 3. 10 welded and 5 crimped pinhole products-Features: The shieldable small-size products of 423 series M16 have 10 welded and 5 crimped pinhole products. Corresponding to different core numbers, the plugging and unplugging times are designed to be more than 500 times. The larger wire gauge rating for welded products is 0.75 mm2 (AWG 18) with 2 to 8 core counts; 0.25 mm2 (AWG 24) for 12 to 19 core connectors. The rated voltages are 32 V and 150 V, depending on the number of cores, and the rated pulse voltages are 500 V and 1.500 V, respectively. Current rating ranges from 3A to 7A at 40 °C. All soldered products are equipped with brass pins and bronze sockets and operate at-30 °C-95 °C. The housing and threaded lock are made of nickel-plated brass. Crimp products are suitable for wire gauges 0.14-1.0 mm2 (AWG 18-AWG 26) (4-6 cores) and 0.14-0.75 mm2 (AWG 20-AWG 26) (7-8 cores). The rated voltages are 32V and 150V, the rated impulse voltages are 500V and 1500V, and the rated currents are 5A and 6A, respectively. The operating temperature of the crimped connector is-40 °C-100 °C. As with soldered products, the housing and threadlock are made of nickel-plated brass.
