Amphenol | Amphenol Connectors The WTB BMI fan connector is a compact, cost-effective solution for switch applications. The Card-to-Wire (CTW) fan module connector has a flexible design for card-to-wire power applications in fan modules. This series of connectors offers different wire sizes from 28AWG to 22AWG. The maximum rated current per pin is 4A. The CTW fan module connector is available in both standard and smart versions, offering cost and ventilation advantages over traditional card-to-board fan connector solutions. The standard fan module is easy to assemble and includes a cover and wire alignment. Provides an optional Idle key to identify the fan model and an optional light pipe frame orientation (left/right). The smart fan module is equipped with an IC slot that allows the fan operation to be recorded by the IC. The ST Microelectronics M24C64 series (SO8 (MN) 150 mil wide) is preferred. An additional pin is provided on both the IC side and the power supply side to allow for detection and pre-ground (FMLB) operation. 4A maximum current per pin Wire size range: 28 AWG to 22 AWG Standard fan modules provide an optional Idle key that can be used to identify the fan model Optional light pipe frame orientation.
