Amphenol | Amphenol Connectors Gigabit X ® is a high density, low cost differential connector solution that supports data rates up to 14 GBPS. The Amphenol GbX connector platform is a differential connector that provides a flexible, low cost design solution for low speed applications and can support data rates up to 14 Gbps with compatible backward mating upgrade modules. With a wide range of components (power and guidance) and the L-Series Wafer with a 1.85mm X 1.85mm open pin area, designers have the flexibility to meet their specific needs. The GbX-U backplane upgrade module provides improved electrical performance, reduces crosstalk with a new package and backplane housing, and easily scales data rates up to 10 Gbps. To support performance rates up to 14 Gbps, the GbX-U connector requires a GbX Twist daughter board upgrade module. This Twist connector reduces the crimp pin size and adds a twist in the signal terminals to reduce crosstalk.
