The HPCE features a very low package height (7.5 mm) and, like Amphenol ICC's other power solutions, uses a low-cost, high-reliability stamped power contact technology. The HPCE ® features an innovative power contact and plastic case design that allows for a more compact and smaller package. Suitable for demanding AC/DC power and/or add-in card applications. HPCE features low package height (to maximize air circulation), greatly increased linear current density, and reduced contact resistance — features that make it ideal for next-generation 1U/2U servers, storage enclosures, telecom equipment, and datacom/networking equipment. The HPCE ® provides power and signal contacts in a modular plastic housing for power distribution and power control. Like Amphenol ICC's other power solutions, HPCE ® is a modular product that is highly configurable in the number and location of power and signal contacts to meet custom power needs. Each power contact beam of the HPCE ® is rated for 9 A (multiple power contacts are fully energized) and has a temperature rise of no more than 30 ° C in still air. This innovative design minimizes the connector's form factor, and the durable plastic housing features touch protection and polarization features to ensure proper mating.
