Amphenol | Amphenol Connectors Metral ® High-Speed 1000 Series is a: The Amphenol ICC's ® 1000 Series is a high-speed, 2 mm backplane connector system consisting of right-angle female and perpendicular male connectors. The female 1000 series has a unique stripline construction with an externally grounded male shield. Except for the above features, the connector is similar to Amphenol ICC's Metral ® standard connector. The stripline structure allows the Metral ® 1000 Series to have better signal performance when routed in a single-ended or differential pair configuration. The Metral ® 1000 Series is available in 5x6 and 8x12 module sizes with shrouds for midplane applications. The system also has a dedicated grounding pin. Two-module, three-module, and four-module monoliths are available for 5-row connectors. Metral 1000 Series connectors are designed to facilitate end-to-end stacking with other Amphenol ICC Metral products. Metral 1000 Series Right Angle Females are also available with Pin-Through Return (PIP) terminations.
