Amphenol | Amphenol Connectors Millipacs ® High Speed Right Angle Female is a: MILLIPACS ® is a 2mm modular board-to-board and wire-to-board interconnect system designed in a hard metric configuration. Complies with IEC 917, IEC 61076-4-101 and Telcordia GR-1217-CORE. Amphenol ICC's Millipacs ® 2mm HM series backplane connectors are widely used in applications requiring data rates up to 3Gbps. Telecommunications and data markets are demanding higher speed differential signal connectors due to the need for better signal integrity and higher bandwidth. Currently, the existing upgrade options for legacy backplane users necessitate extensive and costly replacement of the existing backplane system architecture. To this end, the Amphenol ICC offers Millipacs ® High Speed (HS) right angle female connectors, which are suitable for data rates up to 10Gbps (IEEE 803.2ap) and are available with the IEC 61076-4-101 Series 2mm Hard Metric (HM2) backplane male connectors. The combination of a Millipacs HS female and a standard 2mm HM vertical male enables lower crosstalk at higher frequencies. Millipacs HS series female connectors are available in 5-row versions in a horizontal pin configuration, offering up to 24 differential pairs (DP) for Type A and up to 30 DP for Type AB over a standard module length of 50 mm. As a result, it is possible to upgrade to higher data rates at a lower cost while retaining the existing backplane vertical male and most of the backplane system architecture.
