Amphenol | Amphenol Connectors The Minitek ® Pwr CEM-5 PCIe ® connector system product is a: Amphenol introduces the Minitek ® Pwr PCIe ® connector system, which is Gen 5 compliant. This new CEM 5.0 PCI Express ® 12VHPWR auxiliary hybrid connector and cable assembly supports 600 W GPU cards. This 12 VHPWR connector does not mate with the older PCI Express ® 2x3 and 2x4 12V auxiliary power connectors. The power pin pitch of this 12 VHPWR connector is 3.00 mm, while the contact pitch in the older 2x3 and 2x4 connectors is 4.20 mm. The new PCIe ® connector system (CEM5) is designed for power applications rated up to 9.5A/pin (12 pins energized) and quad signal transmission over 4 signal pins. All 12 power contacts and 4 signal contacts are rated up to 9.5A per circuit, with fully isolated terminals, easy latching, positive locking of the housing, low contact resistance: up to 6m Ω.
