Amphenol | Amphenol Connectors The PwrBlade ® connector product is a: Amphenol ICC's PwrBlade ® power distribution connector system has both power and signal pins, allowing both power distribution and power control functions in one connector. The vertical or right-angle version of the PCB-mounted plug and female options support coplanar, backplane, or gusset connections. These connectors are ideal for rugged power connections for embedded AC/DC power, or board-to-board connections in servers, storage enclosures, and telecommunications equipment. Originally developed to implement the Server System Architecture (SSI) standard for Distributed Power Supplies (DPS), Midrange Power Supplies (MPS), and High-End Power Supplies (HPS), PwrBlade ® connectors are now available in a wide range of other configurations and are available with soldered or crimped terminations. These connectors can also be customized to meet unique application needs. The available PwrBlade ® connectors have 1-20 power terminals and 0-148 signal pins, with a total length of less than 203 MM. Single-pin construction has a rated current carrying capacity of 48 A for a single power terminal; in connector configurations with multiple power terminals, the single-pin construction has a current carrying capacity of 30 A per power terminal and has been tested with a temperature rise of only 30 ° C in still air. Cable port options are available with isolated AC pins for cable pass-through applications.
