Amphenol | Amphenol Connectors The SAS 4.0 connector product is a connector for high-speed storage servers. The SAS 4.0 connector is designed for next-generation servers with speeds up to 24 Gb/s. This series of 29-position socket and plug connectors supports hot plugging, blind mating, and connector misalignment compensation, and uses a PCB retention mechanism to ensure reliable SMT connections. Compliant with the SATA standard, this series of connectors can be used in a wide range of servers, storage, HDDs, HDD bracket, and SSDs in both vertical and right-angle configurations. Complies with the SFF8681 specification, package design is backward compatible with 12G, 6G, and 3G SAS connectors, staggered contacts for hot-plug applications, vertical socket configuration supports SMT, PF, and hybrid terminations, sled configurations are available in right angle and vertical orientations, and support both SAS and SATA drives.
