Amphenol | Amphenol Connector The SAS/PCIe 3.0 (U.2) connector product is a: High-speed design with flexibility Serial Attached SCSI/Peripheral Component Interconnect High-speed (SAS/PCIe 3.0) connector for next-generation server storage devices with speeds up to 12 Gb/s. The 68-bit SAS/PCIe sockets and plugs enable high-speed Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk interfaces and Peripheral Component Express (PCIe) -based devices. Complies with the SFF8639 specification for 12Gb/s SSDs and HDDs or 8Gb/s PCle protocol-based devices. The guide post design allows the device's plug and receptacle to self-align during mating. The package size is backward compatible with 6G and 3G SAS connectors.
