Amphenol | Amphenol Connector SAS/PCIe 5.0 (U.2 and U.3) connector products are a flexible, high-speed, multi-protocol design that SAS/PCIe 5.0 (U.2 and U.3) connectors are available in 32GT/s (PCIe lanes) and 24Gb/s (SAS lanes) speed configurations to meet the demanding needs of next-generation servers. The 68-bit SAS/PCIe socket and plug connectors support high-speed Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk drive (HDD) interfaces as well as Peripheral Component Express (PCIe) -based devices. Molded guide posts ensure automatic registration of device plugs and receptacles during mating. This series of connectors uses halogen-free high temperature thermoplastics to withstand a wide range of conditions. It is durable and can be plugged and unplugged 500 times. Compliant with the SFF8639 specification, it supports 24Gb/s SSD and HDD transfers or 32GT/s PCle interfaces, and the package design is backward compatible with 12G, 6G, and 3G SAS connectors.
