Micro Type M55116 TAC Connectors Amphenol Nexus Audio Connectors Available for Across Military and Commercial Radio Systems Amphenol NEXUS Technologies manufactures a full line of standards-compliant MIL-DTL-55116 audio connectors that can be used in military and commercial radio systems and intercom systems for ground, vehicle, airborne and naval communications purposes. This connector family includes waterproof polarized plugs and sockets for audio circuits with a maximum voltage of 60 V and a maximum current of 0.5 A. These connectors use crimp sleeve or solder cup contacts. The rigid contacts in the plug connectors match the spring pins or spring-type contacts in the receptacle. In-line plugs and sockets come with wire stress relief. The socket is also available in a panel mount version. In addition to the standard version, Amphenol Nexus Technologies designs and manufactures a wide range of custom TAC Series Model M55116 connectors, offering options including PCB contacts, unique housing geometries, ground and shielded connectors, and right-angle plug connectors, among others. The Tac Series is a miniaturized series of connectors of the Model M55116 that are less than half the size and weight and can meet the same performance requirements as standard connectors.
