Speakerlatch ™ Connectors IO Audio Technologies' Speakerlatch Speaker Level Connectors provide a strong locking connection IO Audio Technologies Speakerlatch cables and chassis connectors bring robustness and reliability to speaker level connections while also providing crucial safety and performance gains. They feature a sturdy twist-lock locking mechanism that provides the correct connection, eliminating the possibility of accidental pulling out. Additionally, all four contacts are hidden inside a reinforced plastic enclosure, thus avoiding the user from inadvertently touching the energized component. These cable connectors also feature a unique key lock pattern that prevents users from connecting speaker level wires to anything other than the Speakerlatch panel mount connector. Cable connectors come with threaded terminals, which means assembly can only be done using Phillips head screwdrivers and wire strippers. Finally, these connectors feature an ergonomic zip lock that simplifies the connection and disconnection process, making manual operation easier. Speakerlatch panel mount connectors replace traditional terminal posts or ¼-inch telephone connections when a more robust solution is needed or desired. Panel mount connectors feature flat lug terminations with insulated voltage dividers that protect against arcing and short circuits, and have the same key-lock and twist-lock design as cable connectors. Both the cable connector and the panel mount connector have a black insulated fiberglass reinforced nylon housing, giving the connector excellent UV resistance. They also feature four silver-plated copper contacts to provide maximum electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. This four-contact configuration (+1,-1, +2,-2) allows users to customize the connector to their specific settings. The standard contact configuration allows the user to connect two speakers in the full range (speaker 1 on +1,-1 and speaker 2 on +2,-2) or a single speaker in a dual amplifier configuration (low-frequency driver on +1,-1 and high-frequency driver on +2,-2) with a maximum conductor outer diameter (OD) of 2.75 mm or 12 AWG. Speakerlatch connectors are all UL certified for safety assurance.
