ASBT-2-4/0-Slim Aluminum Shear Bolt Terminals TE's ASBT slim is ideal for connecting aluminum or copper wires to flat bars or equipment pads Low profile aluminum shear bolt terminals (ASBT-2-4/0-Slim) from TE Connectivity AMP are specifically optimized for compatibility with Raychem cold shrink terminal kits (CSTO-152, CSTI-152, CSTO-282 and CSTI-282). Its slim design is easy to slide in the terminals, allowing for quick and easy installation. Like other products in the ASBT range, the ASBT slim can be adapted to a wide range of connectors from # 2 compact strands to 1000 kcmil concentric Class B strands. The ASBT is ideal for connecting aluminum or copper cables to flat bars or equipment pads with 2-hole NEMA spacing. Constructed from seamless, highly conductive aluminum, the terminal is designed for heavy-duty utility applications. The hole in the connector body has a uniquely grooved surface that increases the electrical contact surface and minimizes the resistance of the interface between terminals and wires. The cable entry area is designed with a chamfered angle inside for easy cable insertion.
