Sliver Connectors TE Connectivity's card edge connectors have been adopted to the SFF-TA-1002 standard. TE Connectivity's (TE) sliver connector has been adopted to the SFF-TA-1002 standard. They are one of the highest performing card edge connectors in this standard. The SFF-TA-1002's pinout supports EDSFF, PCIe, and OCP NIC standards, allowing easy design import by incorporating dispersed pinouts and speeds. This technology simplifies the design and helps reduce overall costs, eliminating the need for retimers and expensive low-loss PCB materials, while enabling speeds up to 56 Gbps with TE high-speed cables. TE offers a high strength metal housing design on the cable connector with active latch on the plug for increased connection security.
