For the ordinary terminal block, the terminal is mainly divided into the following connection modes: ① Screw type Screw type terminal connection mode, the operation is to pay attention to the maximum and minimum cross-sectional area of the allowable connection in the transmission line, as well as the maximum allowable torque of screws of different specifications and models. ② Soldering type The most commonly used soldering type terminal is soldering. The most important connection mode of tin welding is to form the continuity of metal material between the tin welding wire and the welding surface to be welded. Therefore, the solderability is the key for wiring terminals and cold-pressed terminals. The most commonly used coatings on wire ring terminal solders are tin alloys, silver, and gold. For the yellow sheet type contact, the welding end of the general electric welding adopts the welding sheet type, the punching welding sheet type and the notch welding sheet type; for the pinhole type contact, the welding end of the general electric welding adopts the drilling arc notch type. ③ Crimping Crimping is a technique that compresses, deflects, and connects a wire to a contact pair within the required limits of the metal material. A good crimp bond allows the formation of a metallic inter-melt flow, which results in a symmetrical deformation of the raw materials of the wire and the contact. This kind of connection is similar to cold welding connection, which can obtain good impact toughness and electrical continuity, and it can adapt to harsh environment. At present, it is generally believed that the appropriate crimping is better than soldering, especially in the case of large current field, the crimping method must be used. Special crimping pliers or automatic and semi-automatic crimping machines shall be selected for crimping. Conductor barrels for contact pairs shall be used as appropriate depending on the cold-pressed terminal, cold-pressed edge conductor cross section. Please note that the crimp is a permanent connection and can only be used once. ④ wire wrap is to wrap the transmission line directly onto an angular wire wrap post. During winding, the transmission line is wound under controlled tension, pressed into and fixed on the edges and corners of the contact wrapping column to achieve sealing contact. Several regulations on winding transmission line: the allowable diameter difference of transmission line is 0.25 mm ~ 1.0Mm; when the diameter of transmission line is not more than 0.5Mm, the tensile strength of conductor raw material is not less than 15%; when the diameter of transmission line is more than 0.5mm, the tensile strength of conductive raw material is not less than 20%. The tools used include a winding gun and a fixed winding machine. ⑤ Piercing connection, also known as insulation offset connection, is a novel end face technology invented by the United States in the 1960s. It has the characteristics of high stability, low price and convenient use. At present, it has been widely used in various printed board terminals, cold-pressed terminals and ring terminals, and can be used for ribbon cable wiring. The cable protective sleeve is not required to be detached during connection, the U-shaped contact reed tip of the terminal is inserted into the cable sheath, the conductor of the cable is slid into the groove of the contact reed and clamped, and then tight electrical connectivity is generated between the conductor of the cable and the terminal reed. Only simple special tools are required, but cables of the specified wire gauge are required.
