The Amphenol GbX Connector Platform is a differential connector that provides a flexible, low-cost design solution for low-speed applications and supports data rates up to 14 Gbps with backward-matching compatible upgraded modules. Utilizing a rich range of components (power and guide) and the L-Series Wafer equipped with a 1.85 mm x 1.85 mm open pin area, designers have the flexibility to meet their specific needs. The GbX-U backplane upgrade module offers better electrical performance, uses a new package and backplane enclosure to reduce crosstalk, and can easily expand data rates to 10 Gbps. To support performance rates up to 14 Gbps, the GbX-U connector needs to be mated with the GbX Twist daughter board upgrade module. This Twist connector reduces the size of the crimp pin and adds twisting to the signal terminals to reduce crosstalk.
